We are taking on a few significant works internationally and so we are expanding our studio:

The two roles we are looking to fill:

Artist's assistant: We are looking for someone who is able to work independently and collaboratively, take initiative, multi task, seek out tasks to help organize and deliver the work of the studio, including applications, communications, social media, and project coordination.
Someone who is detail oriented, adaptive, and approaches each day with a positive and accommodating attitude would be well suited for this position. Willingness to learn the specific approach/tone to Sans façon work and process.

Day to day skills: technical support, researcher, email administrator, organizing files (digital and physical), travel agent.
Skills that would be an asset to applicants: Adobe Creative Suite, Squarespace, Excel, and Word
Non-essential character traits: Enjoys the company of dogs/cats, Good sense of humour, Appreciates Canadian/British spelling and grammar rules.

Artist’s assistant – 3-5 days a week – 1 year contract position (with possible extension)

Business Coordinator: We are looking for someone to essentially manage the business side of the studio's work, this will be a flexible position. This person will bring an experienced approach to our art practice to streamline our processes and increase the effectiveness of our financial systems.

Day to day skills: update invoicing, accounting, cash flow, and then maintain that status quo – Working with Canadian Accountant periodically and at year-end.
Skills that would be an asset to applicants: knowledge/experience of working with a business that engages in work internationally
Non-essential character traits: a person that loves what they do, and would like to contribute their expertise to an art practice, Good sense of humour.

1-2 days a week (variable) ongoing contract position
