Fish Quay is a small working fishing port located at the mouth of the river Tyne, renowned for its many fish and chip shops and being the last place you can wave to family and friends heading out to the North Sea on the ferry.

The project picked up on the unusual habit of people from all over the Tyne and Wear area to travel to a car park, tucked up behind industrial buildings, and eat fish and chips sitting in their cars, staring out to sea. We recreated this experience at five different car parks, (North Tyneside Hospital, Fish Quay, Moto service station, outside St James football ground and Newcastle Civic Centre) through a drive-in cinema and a sound track of the waves.
