The river Ness is a cherished place in Inverness, its banks are actively used as a promenade, wading salmon anglers are a familiar sight in the middle of town, and the annual Great River Ness Raft Race was a celebrated event. Although the Ness is not a Lido, its seasonal fluctuations are too serious, this project is an opportunity to revisit its social role within the fabric of the city and celebrate its uniqueness.

As part of the development of the project, the website myriverness.com was developed to host a specially commissioned film of the river, and as a place to share stories about the river Ness.
